Dr. Naiman’s protein ice cream
Ingredients
- 1 cup 240 ml Milk, skim
- ½ cup (12⁄3 oz.) 120 ml (50 g) whey protein isolate (unflavored)
- 2 cups (11 oz.) 475 ml (300 g) mixed berries (frozen)
- 1 cup 240 ml Milk, nonfat Fairlife
Instructions
- Add the frozen berries, whey protein isolate, and milk to a high-powered blender.
- Start with the smaller amount of milk for a thicker, scoopable ice cream. Add more milk as needed for a softer, smoothie-like consistency.
- Blend until the mixture is completely smooth, thick, and creamy, scraping down the sides of the blender if necessary.
- Serve immediately as a soft-serve protein ice cream, or transfer to the freezer for 20–30 minutes if you prefer a firmer texture.
Tip
Frozen berries create the creamiest texture and eliminate the need for ice, resulting in a richer, more flavorful dessert.
Fairlife nonfat milk provides extra protein, but skim milk or unsweetened almond milk also work well.
If needed, stop and scrape down the sides of the blender before blending again for the smoothest consistency.
